Sir,
Recently, a Central Government pensioner applied for transfer of his pension from one account in a branch of SBI to another account with a different branch of the same bank in the same city. The transferor branch, in its knowledge, transferred the SB account through which the pension was being operated itself to the transferee branch with the same account number.
The concerned pensioner wants to find out if such transfer moves all the pension details to the transferee branch, as otherwise, confusion may occur as to where the pensioner has to submit the Life Certificate, get his commutation restored apart from the state of his family pension becoming due to his nominee at a later date.
Hope, some knowledgeable persons will throw some light on the questions raised by the pensioner that would be helpful in such cases.
