Treatment under Arogya Karnataka scheme

Mysuru:  All categories of patients are being provided free treatment under the ‘Arogya Karnataka’ scheme implemented by the State Government on  Apr.26, 2018.

The Finance Department had given approval on Apr.20, 2018 for sanctioning of grants and the Health and Family Welfare Department Under Secretary V. Padma had passed an order on Apr.26 and it was directed to provide treatment and emergency treatment through Primary Health Care centres.

The Government order states that 75 percent of the fees fixed by private hospitals must be paid to the centres through the Trust. Out of this, ten percent money must be used as incentives to encourage hospital staff to discharge their duties efficiently and the remaining 90 percent must be put in Advance Recovery System (ARS) fund to help eliminate financial burden on hospitals, she has directed in the order.

Under this scheme, treatment is being provided in Mysuru’s K.R. Hospital, Cheluvamba, PKTB, District and Taluk level hospital. The public can also make use of this facility.
