Mysuru: As the Government has planned to widen the Mysuru-Bengluru Highway (NH-275) on the stretch from Columbia Asia Hospital Junction to Kalastawadi (Chainage 131.068 to 135.304), the Forest Department proposes to fell down 209 trees of various kinds on either sides of the road to facilitate road-widening.
In accordance with section 8(3) VII of Karanataka Tree Conservation Act, the Forest Department has convened a public grievances meeting at the vacant space adjoining Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple at Siddalingapura village on Mysuru-Bengaluru Road at 4 pm on June 20 (Wednesday).
The members of the public can take part in the meet and personally submit their suggestions / objections on tree felling.
