Trees in K.R. Hospital get water space

Mysuru: K.R. Hospital Authorities took an initiative yesterday to create water space at the root of trees grown in the hospital premises.

Following complaints from environmental groups that the tree roots were entirely covered by cement for hospital visitors to sit, the Hospital Authorities, led by Superintendent Srinivas pulled up the contractors and directed them to make space so that water can enter the roots of trees. He told the contractors that trees would die eventually if  there is no natural supply of water.
