‘Trekking is a lifetime experience for NCC Cadets’

Suttur: The participation of NCC Cadets in trekking programmes is a lifetime experience for them, said JSS Institution Co-ordinator J.L. Tripurantaka.

He was addressing the NCC Air Wing Cadets of JSS High School, Suttur who are part of  a 10-day trekking expedition to Tirupati and Belagavi. He said that not every student gets an opportunity to join NCC. Hence, those students who get an opportunity must make use of the time to develop self-confidence and patriotism.

Head Master G. Shivamallu said that NCC Cadets must learn discipline, time consciousness and competitive spirit, leadership qualities and become a role models for other students. School’s NCC Air Wing Chief Officer M.G. Basavanna said the cadets must make use of the opportunities  that Mysuru’s 4th Karnataka Air Wing NCC unit is providing and chalk out their future.

Ninth standard NCC Cadets of the school, N.R. Darshan, R. Madan, R.H. Mahesh, P.B. Prashanth and Suman Kumar Mahato will participate in the ten-day trekking expedition at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, while S.G. Shivakumar, Naresh Rajwar and others will be taking part at the expedition in Belagavi, according to a press release from the school.
