Tricycle rally spreads message on compulsory voting

Mysore/Mysuru: To spread the message on the importance and compulsory voting, the District Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Committee had organised a rally by physically-challenged persons on their tricycles in city this morning.

Zilla Panchayat (ZP) CEO K.M. Gayathri, who is also the District SVEEP Committee Nodal Officer, flagged off the rally from ZP premises.

Specially-abled persons, numbering about 70, displaying posters on compulsory voting, took out a rally on their motorised tricycles, which passed through Ekalavya Circle, JLB Road, Ramaswamy Circle, Chamaraja Double Road, Gun House Circle, Doddakere Maidan Road, Hardinge Circle and culminated in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple. ZP Deputy Secretary (Admin.) Krishnam Raju, Block Education Officer (North)    Krishna, District Disabled Welfare Officer Malini and others were present.
