Apollo BGS Hospitals, in association with TRIN TRIN Public Bicycle Sharing System of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), had organised a Cyclothon to commemorate World Heart Day-2018.
Dr. A.S. Subramanyeswara Rao, City Police Commissioner, Mysuru; Nagaraj, Chief Health Officer, MCC; N.G. Bharateesha Reddy, Vice-President, Apollo BGS Hospitals; Dr. S. Ravishankar and Dr. H.P. Guruprasad, Sr. Cardiologist, Apollo BGS Hospitals, flagged off the Cyclothon.
There were more than 200 participants with the cycles including Doctors, Hospital Management and Staff.
Further the event turned out to be more inspirational when Apollo BGS Hospital’s past cardiac patients who are now way too healthy joined the event.
The Cyclothon was aimed at creating awareness towards the importance of physical activity in preventing Coronary Artery Diseases and non-communicable Diseases to the people of Mysuru by showing the people that there are many ways of keeping your heart healthy and one of which is by cycling.
Apollo Healthy Heart Programme was relaunched for the people of Mysuru during the occasion.
