Mysuru: The members and officials of Tripunithura Municipality in Kerala, in association with Kerala Institute of Local Administration, will be arriving in city tomorrow on a three-day ‘Exposure Visit’ to study about the initiatives taken by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), which helped the city bag the “Cleanest City in India’ tag two consecutive times and the efforts being taken now to regain the title.
The study programme will be held from Feb.5 to 7 at the Conference Hall, Nethravathi Guest House, State Institute of Urban Development, Administrative Training Institute (ATI) premises on Lalitha Mahal Road here.
The programme will be inaugurated at 10.30 am tomorrow by Prof. Dr. N.S. Raju, Assistant Professor and HoD of Environmental Science, University of Mysore, Chairperson of Tripunithura Municipality Chandrika Devi and other dignitaries.
The visiting team will also study about Solid Waste Management units, Drinking Water Supply projects, Sewage Water Treatment Plants, Zero Waste Management units, Heritage Tourism and implementation of Basic Facilities Development Schemes among others.
About 50 members of Tripunithura Municipality including its Chairperson, Chairmen of Standing Committees, members, senior officials and staff will be participating in the programme.
