Mysuru: A woman attempting suicide by administering overdose of anaesthesia after her lover refused to marry her, has been reported from Nazarbad Police limits here on Friday night.
The woman, a resident of Nazarbad and working as a staff nurse at a private hospital has written a two page death note before attempting suicide and has been admitted to a private hospital.
Girish, the lover of the woman and an employee at the Railway Department, befriended the woman and allegedly developed physical relationship with her after promising to marry her.
When she came to know about Girish’s engagement with another girl, the woman depressed over this administered overdose of anaesthesia in an attempt to end her life.
In her death note, the woman has stated that Girish, who was in love with her had buckled under pressure from his family members to marry another girl as she was from the lower caste and hence she was committing suicide.
Nazarbad Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
