Mysore/Mysuru: Coming to the help of the district administration during COVID crisis, Srinivasan Services Trust of well-known auto manufacturer TVS Motor Company, which has a manufacturing facility near Kadakola in the district, has donated 135 Oxygen Concentrators to the district administration.
The machines were handed over to District Minister S.T. Somashekar and Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri in front of the ZP Office here yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, Trust’s Field Director Puttamadaiah said that the Trust has donated the Oxygen Concentrators under CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative. Pointing out that the total cost of 135 Oxygen Concentrators is about Rs. 95 lakh, with each of them costing Rs. 70,000, he said that every Concentrator is of 5 litre capacity.
Continuing, he said that the Trust will also donate 50 Concentrators to Chamarajanagar in a couple of days. Besides, the Trust has donated a good number of face masks, PPE Kits, Sanitisers, Rubber hand gloves, Face shields, Oximeters, Paracetamol tablets, Thermometers and other safety wears to many Government and Primary Health Centres in Mysuru district, he added.
