Two bike-lifters arrested

Four bikes worth about Rs. 3.5 lakh recovered

Mysuru:  Devaraja Police have arrested two persons on charges of lifting two-wheelers and have recovered four bikes worth about Rs. 3.5 lakh from them.

The arrested have been identified as 23-year-old Salman Raza, a resident of Rajivnagar 1st Stage and 38-year-old Zameer Pasha, a resident of Shanthinagar.

The duo were found moving around in a suspicious manner on a Royal Enfield bike on B.N. Road, when the Police arrested them.

During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of stealing the Royal Enfield bike and three other bikes in city. Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered four stolen bikes from them.

DCP Mahaninga B. Nandaganvi and Devaraja Sub-Division ACP Muralidhar supervised Devaraja Inspector Mahadevanayaka and staff Venugopal, Somashetty, Suresh, Umesh, Manjunath and Nandish, in the nabbing and recovery operation.
