The two-day Mysuru District Track and Field Athletic Sportsmeet-2019, organised by Mysore District Athletic Association, will be held on Aug. 18 and 19 at Chamundi Vihar Stadium at Nazarbad in city.
Girls and Boys in the age of 14, 16, 18 and 20 from all taluks in the District will take part in the sportsmeet being held under the following categories.
14 years (Boys and Girls): 100 Mts, 600 Mts, Long Jump, High Jump and Shot-Put.
16 years (Boys and Girls): 100 Mts, 200 Mts, 400 Mts, 1,000 Mts, 100 Mts Hurdles, 3,000 Mts Walk, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot-Put, Discus Throw and Medley Relay.
18 years (Boys and girls): 100 Mts, 200 Mts, 400 Mts, 1,500 Mts, 110 Mts Hurdles, 3,000 Mts Walk, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot-Put, Discus Throw, Javelin Throw and Medley Relay.
20 years (Boys and Girls): 100 Mts, 200 Mts, 400 Mts, 1,500 Mts, Long Jump, Shot-Put, Discus Throw and Javelin Throw.
The winners will be selected to Mysuru District Athletic Team and would be given direct entry to Inter-District National Athletic Championship-2019, Karnataka Junior and Senior Athletic Championship-2019 and Karnataka Inter-District Athletics Championship-2019, to be held in September, November and December respectively.
