Two-day conference from July 25

A two-day conference on ‘Climate Change Mitigation, Adaptation and Resilience: A Holistic Approach,’ organised by the Department of Environmental Science, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, in collaboration with India Universities and Institutions Network for Disaster Risk Reduction (IUINDRR) and National Institute of Disaster Management, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, will be held on July 25 and 26 in city.

The conference will be inaugurated on July 25 at 10.30 am at Sri Rajendra Auditorium in JSS College of Pharmacy premises. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, who is the Chancellor of JSS AHER, will grace the occasion. Executive Director of National Institute of Disaster Management, Ministry of Home Affairs, Rajendra Ratnoo will be the chief guest. JSS AHER Pro-Chancellor Dr. B. Suresh will deliver the inaugural address while Vice-Chancellor (In-Charge) Dr. Basavana Gowdappa will deliver the introductory remarks. JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath will preside.

Experts from Nagpur’s National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, Bengaluru’s National Institute of Advanced Studies, Environmental Management and Policy Research Institute and other Universities will deliver talks on the theme followed by 60 oral presentations from selected participants.
