Two-day conference on tribal rights from Sept. 12

Mysuru: As part of Vishwa Adivasi Adhikar Divas, Adivasi Samanvay Manch and Rajya Moola Adivasi Vedike together have organised a two-day conference on tribal rights’ commencing tomorrow at Maharaja’s College Centenary Hall here.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, Vedike State Convenor C. Vijaykumar said that District Minister V. Somanna will  inaugurate it tomorrow at 9.30 am. He said that over 1,000 tribals from across the State will attend the conference.

Madhya Pradesh Tribal Welfare Minister Omkar Singh Markam, MPs Pratap Simha, V. Sreenivasa Prasad, Gujarat Adivasi Samanvay Manch President Amar Singh Chaudhary and others will participate as the guests.

Tribal procession

On Sept. 13 at 9.30 am, a tribal procession will be taken out from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple to be flagged off by Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar and MLA S.A. Ramdas, said Vijaykumar.

The conference will deliberate on various issues of tribals.
