Mysuru: Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Chair of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) in association with Mythic Society, Bengaluru has organised a two-day National Seminar as part of the birth centenary celebrations of erstwhile Mysuru ruler Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar on Aug. 20 and 21 at KSOU’s Kaveri Auditorium.
The seminar will be inaugurated by the scion of Mysore royal family Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar. KSOU Vice-Chancellor Dr. S. Vidyashankar will preside, Prof. Kru. Narahari will be the Chief Guest and V. Nagaraj will speak on the occasion.
During the two-day National Seminar, special resource person Dr. L.N. Swamy will speak about ‘Life of Jayachamaraja Wadiyar’, Dr. V. Anuradha about ‘Transition period in royal family – 1958 to 1974’, Dr. J.V. Gayatri about ‘Freedom struggle during Jayachamaraja Wadiyar’, S.K. Chandan Kashyap about ‘Contribution of Jayachamaraja Wadiyar to Art’, H.K. Nagaraj Rao about ‘Contribution of Jayachamaraja Wadiyar to Kannada Literature’, Dr. R.S. Nanda Kumar about ‘Contribution of Jayachamaraja Wadiyar to Music’, Dr. Navarathna Deepthi about ‘Classical features of Jayachamaraja Wadiyar’s musical compositions and rendition’ and Prof. M.
