Mysore/Mysuru: Bharata Nritya Sangeeta Academy, Bengaluru, in association with Noopura Kalavidaru Samskrutika Trust, Mysuru and Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University, Mysuru, has organised a two-day Third National Conference on Performing Arts and Classical Dance Fest-2025 on Nov. 27 and 28 at the Music University premises in the city.
Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the inaugural session. Noted danseuse Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy will inaugurate the conference on Nov. 27 at 10 am. Dr. Nagesh V. Bettakote, Vice-Chancellor of Music University, will preside. Dr. M.D. Sudarshan, Assistant Director of Kannada and Culture Department, will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Natyacharya Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao, Director of Noopura Kalavidaru Samskrutika Trust, will speak on ‘The Path Traversed by Performing Arts in the State’ while Dr. Tulasi Ramachandra, Director of Nrityalaya Trust, Mysuru, will speak on ‘Kannada In Classical Dance: The Past, Present and Tomorrow.’
Noted music scholar Dr. R.S. Nandakumar will deliver the valedictory address on Nov.28 at 5 pm. Joint Director of Kannada and Culture V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy will be the chief guest.
The last date to send the abstract for the Conference is Nov. 23.
