Two-day State-level AIUTUC Convention on Oct. 26, 27

The two-day 4th State-level Convention  of All India United Trade Union Centre (AIUTUC) will take place at Town Hall premises in city on Oct. 26 and 27.

Announcing this at a press meet here recently, AIUTUC leader K. Somashekar said ahead of the convention, a massive procession will be taken out from Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry on Vinoba Road to the Town Hall at 11 am on Oct. 26.

 AIUTUC All-India President K. Radhakrishna will inaugurate the convention at 12 noon. AIUTUC General Secretary Shankardas Gupta will deliver the keynote address, while State leader Chandrashekar Meti will deliver the inaugural address.

Retired Professor Dr. K. Kalachannegowda will inaugurate the Photo Expo organised as part of the convention, following which a session of delegates  will take place at Maharaja’s College Centenary Hall at 5 pm.

Thousands of Trade Union leaders, workers, labourers and workers of the unorganised sector from across the State are expected to attend the convention, which would discuss labour issues and the challenges.

Invitation Committee Hon. President Dr. K. Kalachannegowda, President Ugra Narasimhegowda, office-bearers M. Umadevi, V. Yashodhar and Chandrashekar Meti  were present.
