Mysore/Mysuru: A two-day workshop on ‘Changing Law Trends in Rights of Constitution’ organised by Mysuru unit of ABVP began at the ABVP Office on N.S.Road here this morning.
Speaking after inaugurating the workshop, Dr. Ramesh, Dean, Department of Studies and Research in Law, University of Mysore, said that students in the past used to read only prescribed books for passing exams. But with advancements in Science and Technology, people can get the information they want at their fingertips, thanks to latest gadgets and accessories, he opined.
Pointing out that a law student should be an everyday learner like himself, Ramesh said that students should study and be able to interpret the landmark judgements of Courts and as well as the Apex Court.
Observing that a teacher should always be prepared to face any sort of questions on their subject by students, he said that likewise, the students too should be wise enough to have a understanding of the topic and ask pertinent questions that enhance their knowledge. Mysuru Bar Association Secretary S. Umesh, ABVP City President Prof. Siddaraju, Secretary M. Shivu and others were present. About 60 students from different Law Colleges of the city are taking part in this workshop.
