Bengaluru: To boost employment opportunities for youths having completed their graduation, engineering, diploma and other professional courses, the State Government is organising a two-day mega job fair ‘Yuva Samruddhi Sammelana’ from Feb. 26 at Palace Grounds in Bengaluru.
Addressing a joint press conference, here on Wednesday, Minister for Skill Development and Medical Education Sharan Prakash Patil and Minister for IT-BT, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Priyank Kharge said the event being organised by Skill Development Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Department, had received an online registration from more than 31,000 youths and added that about 500 national and international companies would be recruiting candidates for nearly one lakh jobs depending on the qualification.
There will be over 600 stalls to help candidates visit the stalls to find job opportunities suitable to their qualification and requirements. The experts and the executives of the companies will be there with the information to help the job aspirants.
The State Government has chalked out plans to provide training for candidates, who fail to secure a job and to help them get placed in the future. The registered candidates will also receive information about stalls on their mobile phones.
The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. The government has arranged free lunch at the venue along with transportation facility for candidates from City Railway Station, Majestic and Shanthinagar Bus Stand.
