Two end life in city

Mysore/Mysuru: In separate cases, two persons committed suicide by hanging self at their houses in city.

In the first case, a 28-year-old woman, said to be depressed over family issues, ended her life by hanging self at her house in Kuvempunagar on June 21 night.

The deceased woman is Tejaswini, a resident of Kuvempunagar ‘M’ block, who was married to Raghavendra of Dattagalli in city about a year back.

Following Ashada season, Tejaswini had come to her parents’ house. She had fought with her husband for not taking her back even after a year of her coming to her parents’ house and had lodged a dowry harassment case against her husband at the Women’s Police Station.

Later, a counselling was done in the presence of elders during which it was decided to solve their differences mutually. But on June 21, Tejaswini, after having her dinner, locked herself in the room and hanged herself, Police said.

In the second case, a 25-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging self at his room in city on Saturday night.

The deceased is Darshan H. Gowda, a native of Maddur taluk in Mandya district, who was working at a private company in Gokulam here and staying in the rented accommodation along with his friend at Ramakrishnanagar.

Darshan, who came home after finishing his work on Saturday, ended his life by handing self. Kuvempunagar Police, who have registered separate cases, are investigating.
