Two of the three rescued tiger cubs die

Surviving cub shifted to Bannerghatta Biological Park

Mysore/Mysuru: Two of the three rescued tiger cubs have died and one surviving female cub has been shifted to the rehabilitation centre at Bannerghatta Biological Park in Bengaluru for further care.

On Oct. 13, the Forest staff found two tiger cubs wandering on Punajanur-Bedaguli Road at Punajanur Range in Biligiri Ranganatha Tiger (BRT) Reserve. On Oct. 14, when the Forest staff conducted a combing operation to trace the mother tiger, they found another tiger cub.

As the three tiger cubs (two female and one male) had grown weak, they were shifted to Mysuru Zoo’s Koorgalli Rehabilitation Centre, where the cubs were being treated and taken care.

As the tiger cubs were suffering from infections, two cubs died, following which one cub was shifted to Bannerghatta Biological Park for further care.
