Mysuru: A Police Constable, who was manning Irwin Road, was injured, when a goods auto rammed into him on Friday afternoon and sped away.
The injured Constable is Chamaraju of N.R. Traffic Police Station. Chamaraju, who was injured on his right hand, was treated as an outpatient at K.R. Hospital.
The Constable was on duty at Irwin Road-B.N. Road junction, when the mishap took place at about 1.45 pm.
The speeding goods auto (KL-10-J-3103) which came from Government Ayurveda College Circle rammed into Chamaraju.
N.R. Traffic Police, who have registered a case, have launched a hunt to trace the goods auto.
In another case, a two-wheeler rider was injured seriously, when an autorickshaw (KA-09-3496) rammed into the scooter he was riding near Aditya Circle at Dattagalli on Nov. 13.
The injured person identified as Raghu has been admitted to a private hospital in Kuvempunagar here where he underwent a surgery.
K.R. Traffic Police, who have registered a case against the auto driver, are investigating.
