Five bikes worth Rs. 5.15 lakh, three mobile phones, Rs. 4,500 cash recovered
Mysuru: Udayagiri Police, on Oct. 25, arrested a two-wheeler lifter near Quba Masjid at Udayagiri and have recovered five two-wheelers worth about Rs. 5.15 lakh besides seizing three mobile phones and Rs. 4,500 cash from the accused.
The accused is Shivakumar, a habitual offender and a resident of Muneshwara Nagar in city.
The accused was arrested along with a Yamaha Fascino scooter and during interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of lifting the two-wheelers in Udayagiri, Alanahalli, Krishnaraja, Mandi and T. Narasipur Police limits and also burgling a shop in Udayagiri Police limits. Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered five two-wheelers from him and have also seized mobile phones and cash from him.
DCP B.T. Kavitha and Devaraja Sub-Division ACP G.S. Gajendraprasad supervised Udayagiri Inspector P.P. Santosh, SIs M. Jayakeerthi, T.S. Nataraj and Madan Kumar, ASI Siddaraju and staff M.M. Babu,M. Shankar, Diwakar, Siddiq Ahmed, M.M. Manjunath, Mohan Kumar and Arun Kumar in the nabbing and seizing operation, according to a press release from the Public Relations Officer (PRO), City Police Commissioner’s Office, Mysuru.
