Five vehicles worth Rs.2.67 lakh recovered
Mysuru/Mysore: Udayagiri Police, on Jan. 21, have arrested a person on charges of lifting two-wheelers in city and have recovered five vehicles worth Rs.2.67 lakh from him.
The arrested is D. Kiran, a resident of Basavanagudi Road in Kyathamaranahalli in city. He was arrested when he was moving around in a suspicious manner on a white colour Suzuki Access scooter near Triveni Circle on Dr. Rajkumar Road in Kalyangiri.
During interrogation, the accused is said to have informed the Police that he had stolen bikes and scooters at various places in city and based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered five two-wheelers worth Rs.2.67 lakh from him. While one case pertaining to a vehicle has been lodged at Udayagiri Police Station, the owners of the other four vehicles are yet to be traced.
DCP B.T. Kavitha and Devaraja Sub-Division ACP M.N. Shashidhar supervised Udayagiri Inspector N.M. Poonacha, Sub-Inspector M. Jayakeerthi and staff M.M. Babu, M.M. Manjunath, M. Mohan Kumar, R.S. Krishna, Nandini and Bhavya in the nabbing and recovery operation, according to a press release.
