17 two-wheelers worth Rs. 12.20 lakh recovered
Mysore/Mysuru: Udayagiri Police, on Oct. 19, have arrested a 19-year-old youth and two minor boys on charges of lifting two-wheelers and have recovered 17 bikes and scooters worth Rs. 12,20,000 from him.
The accused youth is Mohammed Shuaib of K.N. Pura here.
During interrogation, the accused is said to have told the Police of lifting two-wheelers parked in front of houses in Mysuru and Mandya districts during night time and based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered two Royal Enfield bikes, seven Suzuki Access 125 scooters, three Yamaha RX bikes, one Honda Dio, Honda Activa, TVS Apache, Bajaj Platina and Hero Splendor (total 17 two-wheelers) from him.
Following his arrest, the Police have solved four cases in Udayagiri, three cases each in Narasimharaja (NR) and Vijayanagar, one case each in Krishnaraja (KR), Mysuru South, Metagalli, Mandya and Arakere and two cases in Srirangapatna Police Stations.
DCP M.S. Geetha Prasanna and Devaraja Sub-Division ACP M.N. Shashidhar supervised Udayagiri Inspector N.M. Poonacha, Sub-Inspectors M. Jayakeerthi, Madan Kumar and Nataraj, Assistant Sub-Inspector Diwakar and staff M. Shankar, Siddique Ahmed, Mohan Kumar, R.S. Krishna and Shivarajappa in the nabbing and recovery operation, according to a press release from the PRO, City Police Commissioner’s Office, Mysuru.
