Two-wheeler lifters arrested: Four bikes worth over Rs. 1.2 lakh recovered

Mysuru: Metagalli Police on Jan. 20 arrested two persons on charges of stealing two-wheelers using duplicate keys and have recovered four two-wheelers worth about Rs. 1.2 lakh from the accused.

The accused are John Peter and Kishore, both 19-year-old and residents of Belagola Paper Mill Circle in Srirangapatna taluk, Mandya district.

Following a tip off that the duo was trying to sell the stolen two-wheelers near Basavanagudi Circle, the Police took them into custody and during interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of stealing the two-wheelers in Metagalli, Vijayanagar and Devaraja Police limits in city following which they were arrested.

Metagalli Inspector Raghavendra Gowda, Sub-Inspector Vishwanath, ASI Ponnappa and staff Lingarajappa, Mahadevappa, Suresh, Jeevan, Chandrakanth Talawar and Asha took part in the operation.
