Mysuru: The second and the final day of the two-day Udyoga Mela (Job fair) organised by the Department of Skill Development in association with the district administration, saw over a thousand job seekers throng the Maharaja’s College Grounds till noon today.
The valedictory is scheduled to take place later in the day.
Speaking to SOM this morning, Skill Development Department Joint Director N.S. Shivanna said that the Department was more focused on serious job-seekers from different educational background.
Pointing out that the Department was trying its best to provide jobs to all job seekers, he said that the Mela had received tremendous response with nearly 90 companies from various sectors taking part.
He further said that the companies were issuing offer letters to several job seekers at the spot, for existing vacancies.
