Mysuru: Suttur Mutt has organised Allama Prabhu Jayanti and panchanga shravana as part of Ugadi on Apr.6 at Suttur Srikshetra in Nanjangud taluk. Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion.
Sahasra Bilvarchane and Maharudrabhisehka will be performed to Adi Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Karthru Gadduge at 4 am followed by mahamangalarathi and belliratha prakarothsava at 7 am. Special pujas will also be held at Sri Mahadeshwara, Sri Someshwara, Sri Veerabhadreshwara and Sri Narayanaswamy temples.
A procession of Honneru Bandi accompanied by Mangala vadya and folk troupes will be taken around Karthru Gadduge. Suttur School Music teachers and students will take part in Geetha Gayana at around 9.30 am.
Jnanayogashrama’s Sri Siddeshwara Swamiji will preside Allama Prabhu Jayanti celebrations on the same day at 10.30 am. BESCOM Chief Engineer Shankar Devanur will give a special lecture on ‘Varthamana Badukige Allamana Prasthuthathe.’
At 11.45 am, retired engineer and astrologer P.R. Nanjundaswamy will release ‘Suttur Sri Shivarathreeshwara Panchanga’ brought out by Mysuru-based Bharathiya Jyothirvignana Samshodhana Kendra.
