Mysuru: An expert committee from the University Grants Commission (UGC) recently visited St. Philomena’s College in city to evaluate the college performance and academic achievements. The purpose of the visit was to extend the autonomous status of the college.
The committee went on an inspection of the college, its facilities, programmes and courses offered by the college. The team interacted with the teaching staff of various departments. An interaction with the alumni, parents of students, non-teaching staff was also held. The interaction was held to get feedback on what the college lacks and to discover its strengths.
Principal of the college Dr. Ruth Shanthakumari, former Principal Prof. M. Krishnegowda and others were present.
