Mysuru: Even as the MMC&RI is gearing up for its centenary celebrations scheduled next month, the Trauma Care Centre, one of the five attached Hospitals of MMC&RI in the city, is getting readied for the inauguration of an Ultra Modern CT Scan Unit.
The CT Scan Unit at the Trauma Care Centre located on KRS Road, Metagalli, is likely to commence functioning from tomorrow (Aug. 31) itself. With this, the Trauma Care Centre becomes only the second Government health facility after K.R. Hospital to have a CT Scan facility.
The Trauma Care Centre’s Radiology Department Head Dr. N. Manu Pratap said that the CT Scan Unit in K.R. Hospital used to conduct 80-100 scans daily and give reports. But the Ultra Modern CT Scan machine in the Trauma Care Centre is expected to give the reports more faster, which will be of much help to scores of patients visiting the Hospital.
Pointing out that the new CT Scan facility will help in providing quality treatment at a lower cost, he said that the facility has Ultra Modern Scanning Units. The Trauma Care Centre will have an Ultra Modern Digital Radiography (X-Ray) machine and Ultrasound machines in the coming days, he added.
