Sir,
We regularly cycle to Chamundi Hill in the mornings and we have observed that the multi-level parking space created is very much being under-utilised.
There are barricades to divert the traffic towards the parking lot but since there are no regular Traffic Policemen, the barricades are not put in place and the vehicles as usual ride till the temple and park their vehicles at the outer premises of the temple.
This is causing lot of congestion of the space around the temple leading to inconvenience of the devotees. Crores of rupees have been spent to create the much-required parking space and a walkway and it is sad that the facility is not being properly used.
Since most of the visits to the Hill temple normally happens in the early mornings or the evenings, it is very much required that the Traffic Police are stationed at these times. I request the authorities concerned to look into the matter.
