Undertrial who escaped from Madikeri Hospital nabbed

Madikeri:  An undertrial, who had escaped from Madikeri Government Hospital where he was admitted after he had consumed phenyl in the Prison has been arrested by Madikeri Police at Yelwal in Mysuru.

He was arrested on charges of thefts and was lodged in a Jail at Madikeri Central Prisons.

The undertrial, who had escaped and now caught, has been identified as Ganesh alias Ganapathi, a native of Suntikoppa.

Ganesh had escaped through the window of the toilet of the Government Hospital on Jan.1 at about 10 am after hoodwinking the Jail staff who were on guard following which a Police team consisting of Madikeri Police and Jail staff, launched a hunt to nab him and succeeded in arresting him at Yelwal in Mysuru on Tuesday.
