UNESCO-recognised Channakeshava Temple replica shines at Millennium Circle

The illuminated replica of the Channakeshava Temple in Somnathpur (in T. Narasipur taluk of Mysuru) is currently on display at Millennium Circle, as part of the Dasara festival. This stunning replica is capturing the attention of all onlookers. The Channakeshava Temple, a remarkable piece of 12th-century Hoysala architecture, is one of only two such temples from that era in Karnataka. Recently, it was granted the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Site tag, underscoring its cultural and historical significance. This illuminated replica serves as a fitting tribute to the temple’s rich heritage and its new-found international recognition.
