Sir,
At Yaraganahalli Crematorium one can see that the dead bodies are cremated as per the whims and fancies of the family members of the deceased persons.
Despite having two platforms made for the funeral pyre, the bereaved relatives are cremating the bodies on their own will at which ever place they feel suitable within the crematorium premises.
Following this, the smell and dust generated after cremation spread to nearby residential areas, affecting the health and safety of residents.
Hence, I request the authorities concerned to guide the family members of the deceased to place the dead bodies on the specially made platforms to perform the last rites.
