Sir,
I travelled from Mysuru to KSR Bengaluru today by Train number 12613 and am on my way to Hyderabad.
I had a bitter experience while boarding the train this morning. D1 coach (in which my seat was reserved) was stationed nearby the water pre-cooling plant (around 5th position engine). Due to steep curve of the Railway line, the D1 coach stood tilted away from the platform nearly by two feet.
Being used to frequent travel I boarded the coach in the normal way, unaware of the dangerous gap between the steps and the platform. I lost balance and almost fell when I was rescued by my brother who came to see me off. Had I not been held by him, I am afraid, the fall would have proved fatal for me today.
In the interest of the safety of passengers and to avert similar danger to others, I deem it my responsibility to draw the attention of the concerned through your columns seeking initiation of immediate corrective measures at Mysuru junction Platform No.1. I hope the authorities would prioritise the passengers’ safety and act swiftly.
