UoM heads to attend NIRF ranking ceremony

Mysuru – The Acting Vice-Chancellor of University of Mysore (UoM) Prof. Dayanand Mane and Director, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Board and National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Nodal Officer of UoM Prof. Lingaraja Gandhi will attend the “India Rankings-2017” ceremony to be hosted at Rastrapathi Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi on Apr. 10.

President Pranab Mukherjee will preside over the function organised by NIRF, Ministry of Human Resource Development.

The NIRF had recently released the India Rankings (2017) of Universities and Institutions of Higher Education where the UoM was ranked 36 in University category and 57 in overall category. The UoM is the only public University of Karnataka State to make it to the National ranking.

Out of the five main parameters, the University had fared well in Graduation Outcome with a score of 93.17% (UoM stands 4th in India) and also had fared well in Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) and Teaching and Learning Resources (TLR) with the scores of 53.51% and 41.59% respectively. The weak points are in the areas of Research and Professional Practice with 20.10% and Perception 3.44%.
