Mysuru/Mysore: After launching the e-cars at the University, Yaduveer Wadiyar inaugurated the University’s new Ladies Hostel of the Department of Education and Sports Science, adjacent to Dr. Radhakrishnan Study Centre at Saraswathipuram here.
The hostel, equipped with a modern dining hall and better accommodation facilities, has been built at a cost of Rs.1.75 crore and has 18 rooms. It has a ground plus first floor and each room can accommodate six women.
Earlier, the ladies, attached to the Department of Physical Education were sent to different University hostels, which were giving rise to problems and the Varsity authorities, realising the need of a separate hostel, an exclusive hostel was built.
