The Alumni Association of Department of Studies in Urdu, University of Mysore (UoM), recently conducted literary competitions to degree students of colleges across the city. Hindi and Urdu Department HoD Prof. Prathiba Mudaliar was the chief guest. Prof. Afroze Ahmed, Nyamthulla Khan and Associate Professor Ishratunnisa were judges. Prof. Rifathunnisa spoke on the importance of Urdu on the occasion. Prof. Masood Siraj presided. Dr. Khuteja Tasneem compered. Winners were distributed prizes on the same day.
