Mysore/Mysuru: University of Mysore (UoM) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. N.K. Lokanath and UoM Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Director Prof. K.N. Amruthesh are on an official visit to the United Kingdom (UK) to participate in the Karnataka Leadership Development Programme (KLDP), a flagship initiate launched jointly by the British Council and the Karnataka State Higher Education Council (KSHEC) from Sept. 12 to 30.
Prof. Lokanath was nominated by the State Government to the delegation from UoM to the UK.
This programme is designed to enhance internationalisation efforts in higher education across Karnataka by developing strategic academic and research partnerships with leading Universities in the UK; improving global visibility and developing sustainable collaborations through joint research, faculty, student exchange and academic engagement.
The delegation, led by Prof. Lokanath will be visiting reputed Universities including University of Oxford, Kingston University and University of Liverpool.
Dr. Amruthesh, Professor, Department of Studies in Botany, is a recipient of National Academy of Biological Sciences Fellowship-2022 and State Government’s Science and Technology Academy Fellowship.
