Karnataka Urology Association Council 2022-23 will be conducting its first ever Karnataka Urology Association – Uro Premier League 2023 (KUA-UPL 2023) – T10 Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament on June 10 at Maharaja’s College Grounds and Railway Cricket Grounds in city.
Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan in city yesterday, Association Hon. Secretary Dr. J.B. Narendra said that the matches will be held simultaneously at both the said venues between 8 am and 9 pm.
Around 75 Urologists from Mysuru, Bengaluru, North Karnataka, Mangaluru and Central Karnataka, who are cricketer-lovers, will be participating in the tournament. The 5 teams are: 1. Royal Challengers Mysuru; 2. Bangalore Capitals; 3. Central Super Kings; 4. North Karnataka Giants and 5. Western Warriors.
Tournament Brief: The T10 Format Tournament is a first of its kind tournament in Urology Department, Mysuru, with a power play for 3 overs. ‘Impact Player’ rule of IPL will be adopted. Five teams league-cum-knock-out with total 9 matches with semi-finals and finals. Each team will get a minimum of 3 matches to play. Official Umpires, Scorers and KSCA rules will govern the tournament.
Valedictory and prize distribution ceremony will be held on June 10 at 7.30 pm with former International Cricketer ‘Mysore Express’ Javagal Srinath as chief guest, he added.
Association office-bearers Dr. Sachin Dharwadkar, Dr. Kumar Raje Urs, Dr. Kailash and Dr. Abhijith were present at the press meet.
