Sir,
It was a pleasure to read in newspapers that the Dasara Festival Committee has announced a savings of over Rs. 7 crore after the simple Dasara celebrations in Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar and the organisers deserve all appreciation.
At the same time, Mysureans also demand a part of saved funds to be utilised towards pending works like road repair, several projects pending including the Rajukaluve project in SBM Colony where the residents have been suffering for more than three years from rain waters entering houses in the absence of proper rain water drains apart from payment of pending bills to contractors.
It would be better if the MCC demands from the Government a sum of Rs.50 lakh per Ward for all 65 Wards in Mysuru as per original proposal.
Let the Corporators including the Mayor put up their demands in the Council meeting to put pressure on the Government to get funds to meet the pending projects in Mysuru as part of development.
