Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Centre, University of Mysore, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Educational and Cultural Trust, Samanate-Swabhimana-Swavalambane Pratishthana, Samanate Prathishthana have jointly organised a function to commemorate the 78th birth anniversary of V. Sreenivasa Prasad, a prominent politician of the State, at Vishvajnani auditorium, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Centre, Manasagangothri, in the city tomorrow.
The function will be inaugurated at 10.30 am by Chamarajanagar District Minister and Minister of Animal Husbandry K. Venkatesh. Mysuru District Minister and Minister of Social Welfare Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will preside. Renowned film and TV serial maker T.N. Seetharam will speak about ‘V. Sreenivasa Prasad: Samajika and Samskrutika Kalagigalu’ while senior journalist Amshi Prasannakumar will speak on ‘V. Sreenivasa Prasad: Rajakiya Baddhathe.’
Prof. G. Somashekar, Director of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Centre, Prof. C. Basavaraju, President Samanate-Swabhimana-Swalambane Prathshthana, Pratima Prasad, Convenor, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Educational and Cultural Trust, Publisher Bharath Ramaswamy of Samanate Publications will also participate in the function.
