Valedictory of the day-long conference on Digital Economy

The valedictory function of the UGC-sponsored One-Day National Conference on ‘Digital Economy in India: The Challenges Ahead’ was held at Vidyavardhaka First Grade College (VVFGC) PG Centre in city recently. Dr. S. Srilkantaswamy, Director, College Development Council Co-ordinator, University of Mysore, speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, said: “Digital empowerment of the people is the need of the day, however the basic soft skills are unknown to them specially in rural areas.” He shared his own experiences with regard to cashless society abroad as he himself had experienced the same by taking the salary digitally back in 1980’s.

Dr. M. Shivalingegowda, Principal, VVFGC, Mysuru, who also spoke, expressed his sincere thanks to the management and congratulated the entire team behind the conference.

Vishwanath, Secretary, VV Sangha, Mysuru, delivered the Presidential address and discussed various possibilities of cashless and digital society.

Dr. S. Marigowda, HOD, Commerce, PG Centre, welcomed. G.M. Rajeshwari, Asst. Professor VVPGC, Mysuru, proposed a vote of thanks.
