Accusing the Union Government of displaying a step-motherly attitude against the State with regard to water disputes, Kannada Chaluvali leader Vatal Nagaraj has called for Karnataka Bandh on April 7.
Speaking to press persons here yesterday, Vatal Nagaraj alleged that the Centre was not responding to the State’s water woes and irrigation projects.
The bandh has been called to press for the intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ending inter-State water disputes involving Karnataka, he said and added that a rally will be taken out from the Town Hall to Freedom Park in Bengaluru at 10 am on April 7.
He further said that the DC offices at all districts will be picketed to mark the bandh
