In a bid to create awareness among the public to control deadly diseases such as Dengue and Chikungunya, the District Health and Family Welfare Department has announced launching of the programme titled ‘Naagarikarigondu Savalu’ (A challenge to the public). As part of the programme, ASHA workers will carry out door-to-door visit and educate the public on the measures to be taken to contain indoor and outdoor breeding of mosquitoes. The ASHA workers will also receive a feedback from the citizens through a questionnaire, according to the District Vector-borne Diseases Control Officer Dr. S. Chidambara.
