Mysuru: Sri Mayakara Gurukula had organised the 2nd Vedanga Jyotishya Sammelana at Cauvery auditorium in Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) premises here yesterday. About 100 Astrologers from across the State participated in the event.
Inaugurating this programme, Karnataka Sanskrit University Deputy Registrar Vid. Prakash Pagoji observed that Astrology was misconstrued and misinterpreted in society which should be changed. He said that Astrology plays a role right from birth to death. He added that Vastu, Ayurveda and Astrology were ancient concepts of India. He said that 4,000 had graduated in Astrology from Sanskrit University and sought a PG course.
Suttur Shivarathreeshwara Panchanga Founder Dr. K.V. Puttahonnaiah presided. Astrologer Dr. Bhanuprakash Sharma released a commemorative volume. Mayakara Gurukula’s Founder Mugur Madhu Dikshit delivered the keynote address.
