Vedikes condemn attack on Hindus in Bangladesh

Mysore/Mysuru: Members of Hindu Jagarana Vedike and Janamana Vedike staged a protest condemning the attack on Hindus in Bangladesh, at Chamundipuram Circle in the city last evening.

Following a puja to the portrait of Bharat Mata at the Circle, the protesters, holding candle light, held various placards in Kannada, meaning as follows: Are Hindus in Bangladesh devoid of human rights, Don’t be crestfallen, We are with you…

Ex-Corporator M.V. Ramprasad, who led the protest, regretted that the Hindus in Bangladesh are being attacked, with their houses and offices set on fire. Some of them have lost their lives in the melee, with the people of the community becoming victims of volatile political situation there.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) should register a strong protest against the killings and the houses where Hindus reside should be provided adequate security. Amidst this, there is a gradual decline in the population of Hindus in both Bangladesh and Pakistan, rued Ramprasad.

President of BJP Krishnaraja Constituency Unit Gopalraje Urs, Jeevadhara Girish, Umashankar, Mahesh, Lakshminarayan, Manjunath, Apoorva Suresh, Somesh, Rangaswamy, Shivalingachar, Ravi, Nagendra Harsha, Nagaraj, Chandru, Aravind, Kavya and others took part.
