Mysuru: Mandi Police have arrested a person on charges of stealing two-wheelers and four wheelers in city and have recovered one bike and one car worth about Rs.6 lakh besides seizing his mobile phone.
The accused is 24-year-old Krishna, a tattoo artist and a resident of Lakshmipuram.
The accused, on Tuesday evening, was standing on Eidgah Maidan Road with a Royal Enfield bike without registration plates and behaving in a suspicious manner when the Police caught him.
During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of lifting the Royal Enfield bike which was with him at Manchegowdanakoppal and another Enfield near Vijayanagar Water Tank. He also confessed to the Police that he had lifted one KTM Duke and one Enfield bike and two Skoda cars which were put up on sale online.
Based on the information provided by the accused, Mandi Police, who have recovered one car and one bike from him, have also arrested one Nadeem Khan, on charges of scrapping a car.
They have been remanded to Judicial custody.
