Eight two-wheelers worth Rs. 4 lakh recovered
Mysuru: Devaraja Police, on Apr.16, who conducted an operation in front of Jayadeva Hospital in K.R. Hospital premises, arrested three persons who were trying to steal two-wheelers using duplicate keys and have recovered a total of eight two-wheelers worth about Rs.4 lakh from them.
The arrested have been identified as 21-year-old G.S. Manjunath, 20-year-old Kiran and 20-year-old Pavan Kumar, all residents of Gungral Chatra, Yelwal hobli in the taluk.
During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of lifting two bikes in Devaraja Police limits, four two-wheelers in Vijayanagar Police limits, one in Bilikere Police limits and a two-wheeler in Metagalli Police limits. The Police had caught them along with two stolen vehicles in K.R. Hospital premises.
Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered two Hero Honda Splendor bikes, two Hero Honda Passion Plus bikes, one TVS Apache bike, two Honda Dio scooters and one Yamaha RX bike, all worth about Rs.4 lakh from them.
DCPs N. Vishnuvardhana and Mahaninga B. Nandaganvi supervised Devaraja Sub-Division ACP Muralidhar, Devaraja Inspector Shantharam, SI K. Mahadevanaika and staff Somashetty, Venugopal, S. Suresh, Praveen Kumar, Nagaraju, K.S. Prakash, M.K. Manjunath and M.S. Umesh in the operation.
