Nine two-wheelers, one autorickshaw worth about Rs. 3.70 lakh recovered
Mysuru: Vidyaranyapuram Police, who took three persons who were triple riding on a bike into their custody and later arrested them on charges of lifting vehicles in various parts of city.
The accused have been identified as Gautham and K. Kiran of Muniswamynagar and T. Karthik of Mahadevapura in city.
During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of lifting vehicles in various parts of city and based on the information provided by the accused, the Cops have recovered nine two-wheelers of various companies and an autorickshaw worth about Rs. 3.70 lakh from them.
Following the arrest and recovery of vehicles, the Police have solved three cases in Vidyaranyapuram, two in Saraswathipurm, one in Kuvempunagar, one in Ashokapuram, two in Mysuru South and one case in Nazarbad Police limits.
It is learnt that the accused used to steal two-wheelers parked in front of houses during nights. Gautham, one of the accused was accused in a murder case and began to steal vehicles after coming out on bail.
Vidyaranyapuram Inspector J. Omkarappa, SI Shanthakumar and staff Maheshwar, Nataraju, K.T. Manjunath, Ramesh, Shivashankar, B.K. Govindaraju, Uma Mahesh and M. Rajendra took part in the nabbing and recovery operation.
